I met Joanne at the Ridgefield Thrift store. She worked on the stool next to mine and we had pet names for each other! She called me Betsey and I referred to her as Chatty Cathy! It was such fun, and often other volunteers could not figure out why we were calling each other by wrong names! She will be greatly missed but her wonderful memories will live on! I am so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers to the Casey family. Joanne and I became fast friends when we worked together. I have found memories of shopping ... from the mall to the thrift shop and even QVC . She will be missed.

I met Joanne in Brandermill, a planned community in the Richmond, VA area. She was the first person to ring our doorbell and welcome me to the neighborhood. With Joanne, she made you feel like you´ve known her forever even though we had just met. She sat on our back staircase and shared the scoop of the neighborhood. This was the first time we had ever moved away from family and friends and I´m not sure what I would have done without her. She became one of my best friends and even though her family moved to Florida we kept in touch and even visited a few times. Life would move us to Ridgefield CT and as God´s plan would have it, the Casey´s moved to the same town. She was like a sister to me and our friendship was truly meant to be. Frank and Joanne were two of our dearest friends, traveling together and spending every Christmas Eve together for
more years than
I could count. We shared so many stories and never got tired of telling and retelling them! Rest in peace, Jo. Until we meet again.

May her beautiful soul rest in peace. She was truly loved by many and surely reciprocated that love to everyone.

Joanne Casey was the best grandmother a kid could ever ask for. She always made sure to show her grandchildren that she loved them whether it was by giving gifts or candy or hugs we always knew. Even in her last few years when she struggled with dementia she remembered to watch her grandchild's college games and text him every time. She was the sweetest most kind hearted woman I have ever know and she will be loved and missed eternally by everyone she knew, and especially her grandson.

Joanne was the best grandmother a kid could ever ask for. Even in her last years struggling with dementia she remembered to watch her grandsons college football games and would make sure to text him after every single one of them. She was the kindest most thoughtful woman and will be loved eternally. I love and miss you Grandma.
