Joseph Pinchbeck Obituary
Joseph H. Pinchbeck, 86, born on February 24, 1931 passed away on June 22, 2017. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ethelyn Mallan Pinchbeck. He is survived by his sister, Sylvia Sturges and brothers, John and Jay Pinchbeck all of Ridgefield, CT. , His children Peggy Pinchbeck of Apopka, Paulette & James Smith of Beaufort SC, Pamela & Jeffrey Gillette of Midway Utah, and Joseph (Seph) & Jayne Pinchbeck of Seneca SC, his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Joe attended high school at St. Luke's School in New Canaan and graduated from Cornell University with a BS. In Horticulture where he also met the love of his life, Ethelyn. Joe was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army where he served as a 1st Lt, in the Artillery Corps.
He also served on Ridgefield's Zoning Board of appeals and taught adult education for many years. He was self-employed at the Pinchbeck Brothers Florist and Nursery. His infectious laugh and ear to ear smile will be cherished and missed by all. His passions were People, History and restoring and repairing old antique tractors He will surely be missed by many! In lieu of Flowers please donate to the American Heart Association , American Cancer Society or the American Chestnut Foundation ( ACF.ORG)
