Findorak, Loren E.
Loren E. Findorak, 74, of Wilton, owner and operator of Loren Findorak Drilling, Inc. died on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Norwalk Hospital. He was the husband of Victoria (Wolffe) Findorak. Mr. Findorak was born in Norwalk, May 6, 1939, a son of the late John M. and Irene (Carr) Findorak. Raised in Wilton, he attended Wilton schools, was a lifelong resident and owned and operated his generational drilling business following his father, also based in Wilton. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he served from 1956 to 1962 and was stationed in Beirut in 1958 during the Lebanon Crisis. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Redding Country Club, and a past volunteer fireman of the Wilton Volunteer Fire Dept. In addition to his wife, Victoria of forty-five years, Mr. Findorak is survived by three daughters, Heidi Findorak Dominakus and her husband, Thomas of Danbury, Wendi Findorak of London, England and Jessica Findorak Kelly and her husband, Christopher of Redding; a brother, John Findorak, Jr. of Wilton, and five grandchildren, Douglas M. and Benjamin M. Dominakus and Sophia L., Lauren M. and Alexia Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 10 AM in St. Patrick Church, Redding Ridge. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk with military honors. The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 3PM to 7PM.
