Wojtulewicz, Mary
Mary Eleanor Wojtulewicz, age 91, of Brookfield, CT, passed away peacefully on December 9. She was the wife of the late John Wojtulewicz.
Mary was born to parents Frank and Michaelina Wilk in West Rutland, VT on July 10, 1925. She was united in marriage to John Wojtulewicz on June 7, 1946 in her hometown of West Rutland, VT.
She worked as an inspector for Barden Corporation in the town of Danbury for the majority of her adult life.
Mary was a dedicated member of Sacred Heart Church in Danbury CT. Some of her many passions included walks around her community where she was known as the Walking Lady of Sandy Lane, cooking traditional Polish dishes and her famous homemade pancakes, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Michaelina, her siblings Ray, Ted and her daughters Diane and Cindy.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her family. Mary is survived by son in law: Robert Octavio. Her son: John Wojtulewicz and his wife, Sherry. Her daughter: Linda Egan. Her sister, Emily, and her brother, John. Her grandchildren: Robin Hernandez and her husband, Rich; Anthony Octavio and his wife, Jenna; Bridget Wojtulewicz; Julie Purdue and her husband, Ben; Joseph Egan, Kelly Forbes and her wife, Jessica. Also Surviving are her great grandchildren Andrew, Daniel, Joshua, and Abigail.
Although she enjoyed her time with family and friends at "Paradise" in Vermont, she's finally reached her true paradise.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church, Danbury with the Rev. Peter Towsley, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends from 10am-12pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 46 Stone St., Danbury, CT 06810.
