Michael Giannone Obituary
Michael Giannone, 49, of Danbury, husband of Joan (Farris) Giannone, died Sunday, October 4, 2015. Mr. Giannone was born in the Bronx, NY, March 10, 1966, a son of Frank Giannone of New Milford, CT and the late Phyllis (Riccio) Giannone. An area resident for most of his life, he attended local schools and Danbury High School. At the time of his death, Mr. Giannone was employed with the United Parcel Service based in Brookfield. A position he held for the past fifteen years. He enjoyed gardening, photography and NASCAR. In addition to his wife of twenty-six years and father, Mr. Giannone is survived by their twin sons, Joshua Giannone and Jonathan Giannone both of Danbury; two brothers, Frank Giannone and his wife, Cathy of New Milford and Joseph Giannone of Wilmington, DE; a sister, Lisa Giannone of New Milford; his mother in law, Nancy Farris of Danbury, a sister in law; Georgianna Traver and her husband, Warren of Danbury and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Graveside funeral services and burial will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury with the V. Rev. Fr. George Alberts officiating. Friends are asked to kindly omit flowers.

I would see Mike every week when he would deliver to my office, when he would leave I always thought to myself how much he was like his father, an extremely hard worker.
