Died: September 23, 2024 in Peru, IL
Cindi Louise (Rooney) Loebach, 71, of Peru, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Peru.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 27, 2024 at St. Valentine's Church, Peru with Rev. Gary Blake, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Ladd Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00-10:50 Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Mrs. Loebach was born November 18, 1952 in Spring Valley to Edward Joseph and JoAnn (Lamb) Rooney. She married Donald A. Loebach on August 12, 1972 at Holy Trinity Church, Cherry. Mrs. Loebach retired after 46 years as a registered nurse at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru. She was a member of St. Valentine's Church, Peru. She lived her life for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; four children, Lexie (Chris) Backos of Ottawa, Eric (Jillian) Loebach of Peru, Sarah (Samantha) Nikel-Loebach of Ottawa, and Andrew (Cheriz) Loebach of Dunlap; four grandchildren, Morgan Emigholz, Jadis "Tobi" Loebach, Maddelyn Backos, and Devyn Kunkel-Loebach; her mother, JoAnn Rooney of Cherry; two sisters, Bonny (Mike) Kohr of Princeton and Bridget (Tim) Potthoff of Cherry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Ricky Rooney; one sister, Lori Guerrini; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and aunts and uncles.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Foster Village, Peoria; Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Cindi was one of the best nurses I ever had a chance to work with. She always had time to listen to patients and coworkers. She had extra training in ostomy care and was just excellent at helping patients learn how to adjust to this life-changing circumstance Her clinical skills were excellent. She truly was an IVCH caring professional. I am so saddened to hear of her passing

Cindi was my birthday pal for the last 50 yrs.. She was kind, compassionate, loving, good advice giver, lending an ear for anything, devoting her life to Don, her children/grandchildren & her patients & friends. Always with a smile & hug "Hello Sweetie!"
