Harry Charles Picco Sr., 78, of Oglesby, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Prey-Mueller Funeral Home, Oglesby with Pastor Betty Delgado of Trinity United Church of Christ, LaSalle officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Visitation will be 4-7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be 9:30-10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Harry was born on September 16, 1943 in LaSalle to Charles and Myrtle (Creiger) Picco. He married Bonnie Hancock on June 5, 1971 in LaSalle. Harry worked as an end loader operator for Illinois Cement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, woodworking and making knives.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Oglesby; three sons, Michael (Terri) Picco of Oglesby, Scott (Kelly) Picco of Utica, and Daniel (Amy) Picco of Cedar Point; nine grandchildren, Jenna, Addison, Paige, Christopher, Alan (Hope), Travis, Ethan, Nicholas, and Jacob; one great-grandson, Bennett; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Picco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Harry Picco Jr.; two grandsons, Dylan and Ashton Picco both in infancy; and his sisters, Shelby Picco in infancy and Darlene Chapman.
Pallbearers will be his sons, Michael, Scott and Daniel Picco and grandsons, Christopher Jordan, Alan, Travis, Ethan, Nicholas, and Jacob Picco. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Jenna, Addison, and Paige Picco.
