Born: August 13, 1958 in Mendota, IL
Died: April 11, 2025 in Mendota, IL
John M. Hasse 66, of Mendota passed away April 11, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life will take place Monday, April 21, 2025, from 4-7pm at the Mendota VFW. John generously donated his body to science for the advancement of medical research. Cremation rites will then be accorded, and the scattering ceremony will be private. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to assist the family. John was born August 13,1958, in Mendota to Dennis and Donna (Appel) Hasse. He graduated Mendota High School in 1977. John was a life member of Mendota VFW Post 4079 Auxiliary and Mendota Moose Lodge 714. During his work career as a Welder/Laborer he was employed with Mayrath, NLMorton, Rochelle Fabrication and NTL Boilermaker. He will be forever missed by his mother Donna Hasse of Mendota, daughter Meagan Hasse of Mendota, a grandson Malakai, 3 sisters: Connie Serrano of Mendota, Dawn Hasse Larkin of Mendota, Lorie Corrigan of Ft. Myers, FL, "little sister" Rachel Green of Mendota, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorials may be directed to Donors Choice and condolences may be left at wasmerfuneralhome.com.
