Richard D. Ruppert, 63, of Spring Valley, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at his home.
The funeral service for Rick will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 14 at the Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley, with Deacon John Murphy officiating. Inurnment will follow at Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, at the funeral home, from 9:00 AM until time of funeral services. Cremation has been accorded.
Richard was born on December 4, 1958 in Peru to William and Geraldine (Johnson) Ruppert.
He had attended Hall High School and was a former member of St. Anne's Catholic Church.
Rick is survived by his mother, Geraldine Ruppert, of Spring Valley; his sisters, Janice Mini (J.D.) of Dalzell, Jill VandeWyngaerde of Oglesby, and Paula (Eric) Hahn of Spring Valley; his brother, Michael Ruppert of Spring Valley; twelve nieces and nephews; and eleven great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Ruppert; his sister, Barbara Yerly; and his nephew, Grant Yerly.
