Cathy L. Kimble

1953 - 2021

NEW CREEK - Cathy L. (Duckworth) Kimble, 67, of Northwestern Turnpike, New Creek, WV, died Thursday, February 4, 2021 at her son's residence in Palmyra, VA.
Born on March 10, 1953 in Keyser, WV, she was a daughter of the late Robert Thomas Duckworth, Sr. and Sylvia Ester (Clark) Duckworth. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry and Robert Duckworth, Jr. and two sisters, Delores Shillingburg and Darlene Duckworth.
Mrs. Kimble was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart and was never shy about witnessing and sharing her deep, abiding faith with others. She was a member of the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, New Creek and enjoyed flower gardening.
Surviving is her husband of 48 years, Kenneth E. Kimble; two sons, Ryan Kimble and wife Tammy of Palmyra, VA and Kenny Kimble of New Creek; two grandchildren, Abigail and Caleb Kimble; a brother, Jerry Duckworth and wife Diane of Keyser and four sisters, Linda Shillingburg and husband Floyd "Junior" of Rock Hill, SC, Jane Podgurski and husband Bob of Hampstead, MD, Sarah Mason of Midland, MD and Vicky Lynn of Westernport, MD. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 4-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Shoemaker officiating. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, face masks and the observance of all social distancing guidelines are required.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
