Andrew Davis Obituary

Andrew Davis, 65, of Columbus, OH, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville, OH. He was born on January 23, 1951, in Naugatuck (Winco Block), WV, to the late Marion Davis, Sr., and America "Merkie" (New) Davis. He is preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Bluhm, and brother, Willard G. Davis. Andy is survived by his loving wife, Marylou (Malone) Davis; loving dogs, Bella and Maxwell, which made his life a smiling day; brother, Marion (Katherine) Davis, Jr., of Trace Creek, WV; sisters, Maxine (Don) Newman of Crum, WV, Sylvia (Malcom) Damron of Columbus, OH, Bonnie (Amos) Evans of Lovely, KY, Lois (Dennis) Workman of Lenore, WV, sister-in-law, Cindy Davis of Columbus, OH, and brother-in-law, Jim Bluhm of Victoria, TX, plus many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Andy retired from the City of Dublin Parks and Maintenance after retiring from the Nestle Corporation as a Traffic and Operations Administrator. He was an active member of the Gahanna Freewill Baptist Church where he loved and served the Lord and visited the sick and shut-ins at hospitals and care centers. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Gahanna Freewill Baptist Church, 3868 North Stygler Road, Gahanna, OH 43230 where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, 11 AM. Pastor Curtis Booth will officiate. A graveside committal service will be held at 3:30 PM at Washburn Cemetery, Latham, OH 45646. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Andy's memory to the Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct., Hilliard, OH 43026-8990.
