Gary Wyckoff

New London Gary Lee Wyckoff, age 85, of New London, died peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. Born March 6, 1939 to the late Charles E. and Etta Marie (Williams) Wyckoff, in Piketon, he moved to New London in 1974. Gary was a graduate of Piketon High School and later earned his Bachelor's degree from the Ohio State University. He worked for Firelands Electric as a manager for 26 years, retiring in February of 2001.

For many years Gary was involved in the New London community, serving on Rotary and numerous other organizations. He was a member of the Church of Christ in New London for many years and later attended the Church of Christ in Ashland. He also served on the board of directors at Fort Hill Christian Youth Camp.

When Gary was not working or volunteering, he enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as golfing and traveling. Gary also cherished the time that he spent with his family, including his beloved wife Judy (Brewster), and their children.

Left to cherish Gary's memory are his children, Tab (Shannon) Wyckoff of New London, Todd (Vicki) Wyckoff of Allen, TX, and Scott (Lisa) Wyckoff of Florida; four grandchildren, Casey and Corey, and Cameron and Acadia; a sister, Nancy (Kenny) Gragg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy; siblings, Billy Wyckoff, Thelma (Roger) Dunn, and David (Nancy) Wyckoff.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, OH 44851. A graveside service will be held at Mound Cemetery in his hometown of Pickton, Ohio on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m..
