Jessy Alan Wiseburn, 26

DELAWARE CITY - Jessy Alan Wiseburn of Delaware City, formerly of Townsend, died suddenly Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, in his home. He was 26.

Mr. Wiseburn was born Dec. 27, 1979, in Wilmington, son of John A. Wiseburn of Townsend and Rebecca Phillips of Bear.

He was a 1998 graduate of Middletown High School.

Mr. Wiseburn worked at several jobs, including ironwork, remodeling and serving at the New Castle Lone Star Restaurant.

He was nicknamed "Pretty Boy Floyd" because of his handsome blonde hair and electric blue eyes. He was always active and had numerous friends. He touched the lives of many.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Detroit Lions fan.

Mr. Wiseburn was saved and baptized at Townsend United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his father, John A. Wiseburn of Townsend; his mother and stepfather, Rebecca and Bill Phillips of Bear; a brother, John Runyon of Delaware City; a sister, Lisa Cherricks of Wilmington; a stepbrother, Travis of Illinois; his fiancee, Stacy Pierce of Townsend; a special niece, Sawyer Rose; four grandparents, Brenda James of North Carolina, Mary Burchett of Townsend and Joe and Dolores Phillips of Wilmington; 18 uncles and aunts, Bob and Vickie Taylor of Rockcave, W.Va., Steve and Connie Grabowski of Townsend, Richard and Anna Runyon of Newark, Joyce Conley of Pearisburg, Va., Joey Phillips of Dover, James and Sharon Phillips of Wilmington, Kenny and Helen Phillips of Rehoboth Beach, Drew and Teresa Burchett of Townsend, Ron and Carol Grantland of Smyrna and Ed and Linda Thompson; and several cousins who he enjoyed spending time with.

Services will be noon Saturday in Daniels and Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses to the family, c/o Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, P. O. Box 126, Middletown, DE 19709-0126.
