Lemuel M. Graves Jr.

Graves, Jr., 78 Dover - Lemuel M. Graves, Jr., of Dover, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 78. Lemuel was born, April 10, 1937, in Hockessin, to the late, Lemuel & Viola May (Edler) Graves. Lemuel had worked at the Curtis Paper Mill, in Newark, for 37 years; then as a delivery person for Manlove Auto Parts in Smyrna, for the past 15 years, until this past August. He liked watching westerns, the History Channel, and Nascar; and was also an avid book reader. Lemuel also enjoyed being on Facebook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roy Garrison; brother, Jack Graves; and sisters, Connie Shehorn and Dot Bodine. Lemuel is survived by five daughters, Angela Y. Pearson & husband, John, with whom he resided, Barbara Luff & husband, George, of Dover, Lisa Frankos & husband, Chris, of Camden, Linda Smith, of Dover and Bonnie Covey & husband, Kevin, of Seaford. A brother, Chuck Graves; his sisters, Betty Graves, Doris Prettyman, and Mildred Beeson; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2015, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may view from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
