Morton, Sr., 93
DOVER, DE - William Donald Morton, Sr. passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at home.
He was born July 20, 1929, in Grove, Pennsylvania, to the late Regana Arndt and Frank Morton.
After serving 26 years, Mr. Morton retired from the United States Air Force as CMSgt, in 1973. He worked Civil Service on Base as well, retiring after 16 years in 1991. Mr. Morton was very active in his community, and was a member of various clubs, including American Legion Post #2, Camden V.F.W., Delaware Veterans Post #2, Camden Moose Lodge, Honor Guard, and Senior Golf League. Active member of Wyoming United Methodist Church, he enjoyed sermons of Pastor Rick Wessell and Assistant Pastor Lindsay Wessell. He loved golfing, gardening, and bluegrass festivals.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and his wife of 67 years, Loraine Morton.
Mr. Morton is survived by his children, Caroline J. Kerr of Felton, Delaware, William D. Morton, Jr. of Magnolia, Delaware, Joseph S. Morton (Myra) of Lincoln, Delaware, and Rodney A. Morton of Dover, Delaware; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will be held at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, Delaware.

I AM HEARTBROKEN TO LEARN OF HIS PASSING,,,I READ ABOUT IT IN WYOMING METHODIST CHURCH NEWSLETTER TODAY,,,I DON'T GET THE PAPER SO I DIDN'T KNOW,,,MY HEART FEELS FOR HIS FAMILY,,,I LOVED HIM AND LORRAINE SO MUCH BUT DON'T GET OUT MUCH AND HADN'T SEEN HIM IN A COUPLE YEARS! MAY GOD BLESS THEM BOTH!

Mr. Bill as we called him.... He was a good neighbor. His wife, Ms. Lorraine was always ready to invite you in to have a glass of tea and talk. We will miss them so much.
