Charles Arrants Obituary

Charles 'Buddy' Arrants

Charles "Buddy" Arrants, age 64 of Okeechobee died April 30, 2008 at Mayo Hospital in Jacksonville. He was born, Oct. 23, 1943 in Fall River, Mass., to Marvin and Beatrice Arrants. He was self employed in retail sales. Mr. Arrants was a lifetime resident of Okeechobee. He attended First Baptist Church and enjoyed golf and fishing.

Mr. Arrants was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Beatrice Arrants and his sister, Christine Vanbershcot.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Arrants of Okeechobee; daughter, Michelle (Dan) Byrd of Okeechobee; son, Ray (Deidra) Arrants of Okeechobee; granddaughter, Payton Byrd of Okeechobee; grandsons, Byron Byrd of Okeechobee and Landon Arrants of Okeechobee; two brothers, Wayne (Susan) Arrants of Bradford, Maine and Andy (Teresa) Arrants of Okeechobee.

The family will hold a gathering at the First Baptist Church fellowship hall on Sunday, May 4, from 3 until 5 p.m. The family request no flowers, any memorials may be made to Hospice of Okeechobee, P.O. Box 1548, or the First Baptist Church building fund.

All arrangements are entrusted to the care of Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home and Crematory.
