Andrew Giannelli Obituary
Andrew Giannelli, 91, of Laura Lane in East Haven, on March 28, 2021. Born on October 28, 1929, at the family home on Greene Street in New Haven. Son of Louis Giannelli and Filippa 'Phoebe' (Liberti) Giannelli. Graduated from Hamilton Street School and Hillhouse High School. Served in the 43rd Division of the United States Army during the post-World War II occupation of Germany. Worked at Mossberg, Brock-Hall Dairy, and for 30 years, as a meatcutter/member of the Amalgamated Meatcutters' Union Local 371. After retirement, Andy served as East Haven's Council representative for District 4 from 1998-2008.
Predeceased by wives Josephine 'Jojo' Langella and Barbara Donlan, and son Louis Giannelli. Survived by sister Rosemarie O'Connell of San Diego, CA, son Andrew of Boston, MA, daughter Debbie of East Haven, and grandson Connor.
The visiting hours will be on Saturday, April 3rd at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment with full military honors will be privately held at a later date. www.northhavenfuneral.com

Andrew was a truly great man with a super sense of humor. He was one of the best storytellers I’ve ever known. He made my cousin Barbara very happy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We hope that they are at peace knowing that he is at peace.

So sorry to hear this, although I didn't know Andy well,I never forgot him. He broke me in as a retail milkman at Brock/Hall Dairy many moons ago. He would have me in tears with his witty humor. Absolutely a great guy. My deepest condolences to the family....Rest easy my friend...
