Anthony Cacioppo Obituary
Anthony "Tony" Cacioppo, of Branford passed away December 26, 2022 in Apple Rehab-Guilford with his family by his side. He was the husband of 65 years of Frances Ann Cusano Cacioppo. Born in Sambuca, Sicily on March 27, 1938, son of the late Michael and Caterina Fraenza Cacioppo, Tony emigrated to the United States in 1952 at the age of 14 and three years later met the love of his life. He was a driver with Leonard Concrete for nearly 30 years. Tony enjoyed horse racing, trips to the casino, gardening, tending to his fig trees and cooking for his family. He is the proud father of Anthony D. (Judy), Michael M., Dominic F. (Maureen), and John J. Cacioppo. Brother of the late Anastasia Cannova, and Gaspar, Gaetano "Tommy" and John Cacioppo. Brother-in-law of Donna Cusano. Grandfather of Dominic Jr., Steven, Anthony, Vanessa, Matthew and Marc. Great-grandfather of Brayden, Josh, Noah, Elizabella and Emery.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00 in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church Friday morning at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
