Arthur Michael (Mickey) Pite, 91, of Milford, loving husband of Nancy Rosenthal Pite, passed away peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on July 19, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Born in New Haven on November 25, 1931 to the late Samuel and Dora Pite. Mickey grew up in New Haven before settling in Milford, where he and his wife, Nancy, raised their five children. Mickey was owner of St. Jon Packaging Company, where he provided well for his family. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his many friends. Besides his wife, Nancy, who he adored for 66 years, Mickey will be cherished by his children and their spouses: Kathy Hans (Allan), Marcy Breda (Hans), Karen Ferguson (Bob), Barbara Poplawski (Joe), and Steven Pite (Lisa); grandchildren, Sam Hans (Lindsey), Danielle Zink (Nick), Frank Burrelsman (Lindsy), Fawn Hooben (Matt), Forrest Burrelsman (Taylor), Connor Ferguson, Tyler Ferguson, Marissa Balogh (Chris), Kevin Poplawski (Amanda), Seth Pite, and Dara Pite; great-grandchildren, Michael, Hayden and Claire Hans, Norah and Jonah Zink, and Levi and Vera Burrelsman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Bob Pite, sister Sondra Katz, and great-grandson Rory Hans.

Marcia worked with Nancy for years and I worked for Mickey at St Jon. We were friends, and when our kids were young we would call the Pite house and asked if any of the girls wanted to baby sit. Micky was a good friend.

I have lost my best and closest friend of 70 years, a wonderful and loving husband to Nancy, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a leader who always cared for his family, friends ABOVE HIMSELF! We will get together again, my friend and shoot some hoops upstairs! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND REMEMBER YOU!
