Cassandra Carlson Obituary
Cassandra Leigh Carlson, 23, of North Haven passed away on Sunday, December 18th, 2022, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident that evening. Born in New Haven on June 1, 1999, she was the beloved daughter of Jennifer Carlson. A 2017 graduate of North Haven High School, Cassandra worked for Stop & Shop in North Haven as a Front-End Supervisor. Loving granddaughter of Patricia C. Petrunia Carlson and the late John I. Carlson. Beloved niece of Jessica L. Carlson (Richard Florentino) and John I. Carlson, Jr. (Natalie). Loving cousin of John Carlson IV, Zachary and Alchemy Carlson, and Vera Florentino. Also survived by her boyfriend Maxwell McIver, her mother's fiancé Timothy Frame, her dogs Tinkerbell and Thor, her kittens Artemis and Apollo.
The visiting hours will be Thursday, December 22nd from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven on Friday morning, December 23rd at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Haven Animal Shelter, 81 Fournier Street, New Haven, CT 06511. www.northhavenfuneral.com

I worked with cassie for 2 years, and she was very keyed into how the associates were feeling. She always made sure to check on her baggers and cashiers, and was an all around kind person. I´m heartbroken to know shes passed on, but I also know she´ll still watch over us as she did in life. She was much loved by all.

My daughter and I only knew Cassandra as shoppers at Stop and Shop but we were both so sad to hear of her passing. Jennifer, you don´t me. I was a close friend of your late husband the Johnny Carlson. We grew up together in East Haven. I was shocked to hear of Johnny´s passing. The only comforting words I can say is Cassandra is now with Johnny in the heavenly hands of the Lord. My condolences go out to you and your family. May Johnny and Cassandra Rest In Peace in the Hands of the Lord. May He guide you and give you strength during the difficult days ahead, especially at this time of year.

Cassandra was in my Fashion class in 2017. I didn't know her well but she was very nice and friendly. Very chill person. She was also very nice and helpful to my family at Stop and Shop. We're very sorry to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace. We pray for her and her loved ones.

I didn´t know Cassandra but I shop at Stop& Shop. Maybe because I worked in retail when I was young, I always pay attention to the folks working in stores. She seemed to always check in with the cashiers and baggers to make sure they were taking their breaks and that they were doing ok. She showed kindness to shoppers. I didn´t know her more than being a random customer shopping for groceries but I wanted to take a moment to say thar I always appreciated her and wish I had told her. So, at least those reading her will know and hopefully her family will receive this message.

My name is Randolph Howell I just want to say to the family I did not know Cassandra Carlson very well, but I met her at Stop & Shop. She had a good spirit and that´s what caught my attention. She will always speak, and I would speak back to her but when I heard the news, it felt like a knife going into my heart, knowing that this beautiful young lady was in this serious accident, may she rest in peace and I will always remember her pretty smile and a wonderful spirit that she had.
