Cheryl Ann Luzzi
November 10, 1964 - October 1, 2024
Cheryl Ann Luzzi, 59, of East Haven, passed away peacefully October 1, 2024 at Connecticut Hospice. She was the beloved mother of Salvatore and Anthony Luzzi.
Cheryl was born in New Haven on November 20, 1964, to Thomas and Theresa Ruocco Ryan. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, earned a bachelor's degree from Quinnipiac University and a master's degree from the University of New Haven. Cheryl was a teacher for many years at Barack Obama Magnet School in New Haven. She loved to go out dancing, floating in her pool, and was a longtime participant in the "Midnight Run" clothing drives at Our Lady of Pompeii Church.
In addition to her sons, Cheryl is survived by her mother Theresa Ryan; her brother Thomas Ryan Jr. (Francesca Dahlmeyer); her sister Maria Ryan (Donald Sharron) and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Thomas Ryan Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Cheryl on MONDAY October 7th at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompeii Church (St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish), 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. East Haven Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Cheryl's family would like to thank Dr. Jeremy Kortmansky, Dr. Hari Deshpande and the staff at CT Hospice for their compassionate care and ask that in lieu of flowers donations in Cheryl's memory be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, or St Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I first met Cheryl and the boys at a playgroup. We, along with Chris, Maria, and Sheila and all our kids formed a group and got together.
