Cheryl Tuttle Obituary

Cheryl A. Tuttle
Cheryl A. Tuttle, 38, of Seymour, passed away February 2, 2024 after a long illness.
Cheryl was born October 21, 1985, daughter to David and Karen (Lizotte) Tuttle.
Cheryl worked as an LPN for 11 years and as clinical coordinator during some of that time for Nuvance Health Medical Practice in Southbury. She loved her patients as well as the doctors, nurses, and office staff that she worked with, and they loved her; she was such a caring and compassionate caregiver. Cheryl also recently worked for Griffin Hospital traveling the state giving covid vaccinations.
Cheryl was always more concerned about others' needs than her own. She had a sunny personality and was the epitome of summertime. May her spirit and generosity be an inspiration for others.
Besides her parents David and Karen of Seymour, Cheryl leaves to cherish her memory, her brother Alex Tuttle of Seymour and his fiancée Amanda and her grandmother Claire Lizotte of Bethany. She also leaves her aunts Tammy Lizotte, Marcie Monico, and their children Jake and Mia of North Haven, and her partner Charles Payne of Seymour. She loved and leaves behind her extended family from Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, and Texas. She was predeceased by her grandfather Raymond Lizotte who she was very close with, her grandparents Elwood and Janice Tuttle of Seymour, her Aunt Tammy Hazen of Seymour, and Uncle Danny Tuttle of Seymour.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Seymour Oxford Food Bank Inc., 20 Pine Street, PO Box 178, Seymour, CT 06483, in honor of Cheryl's generous spirit.
The Tuttle family would like to thank all those at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital for all their compassion and care for Cheryl.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10 to 12 p.m. at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect, CT 06712. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow. Cheryl lived up the street from me in elementary school. I remember the first time I met her. Dave, was building their house and Cheryl was playing outside. We then became instant friends. I remember her on the tree swing Dave made and jumping on a pile of leaves with her. I can´t tell you how many good memories I have of her including her changing her bus stop so we could play in the morning before school, sleepovers, making up dances, playing the Ouija board, and her introducing me to Macaroni and Cheese. I also remember witnessing the special transition in her life when Karen had Alex, Cheryl´s little brother and the happiness Cheryl had. There certainly were times we were playing too loud and might have woken up the baby.......;-) I had always missed her and her beautiful family after they moved. Rest In Peace my friend. I have always had you in my heart.
Love,
-Jennifer Gereda
