Christopher Flanigan Obituary
Christopher Robert Flanigan, age 18, of Derby, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. He was born in New Haven, on February 8, 1999, son of Scott and Lauren (Stankye) Flanigan and was a lifelong Derby resident. Christopher was a Freshman at the University of Bridgeport where he received an Athletic Baseball Scholarship. He enjoyed music, playing all sports, especially baseball, and coaching younger kids. Christopher was an avid NY Jets and N. Mets fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his brothers, family and friends. Christopher is the loving brother of Logan and Dillon Flanigan, grandson of Sally Stankye-Lindsay and Thomas and Bonnie Flanigan, nephew of Bobby and Nancy Stankye, Kari and Scott Glidden and Lori and Jack Paiva, and cousin of Bobby and Anthony Stankye, Thomas and Trevor Glidden and Nicholas, Zachary and Gabriella Paiva. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfathers, Robert Stankye and Franklin Lindsay. Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Tuesday, friends are invited to go directly to Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Rd., Orange, for his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. His burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Treasured Times, Inc., P.O. Box 152, Seymour, CT 06483. Friends may leave condolences at www.adzimafh.com.
