CRESCENZO LETTIERI Obituary

LETTIERI, CRESCENZO “ENZO” Crescenzo “Enzo” Lettieri, 72, of Old Saybrook, was taken from us too soon on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Yale New Haven Hospital, Guilford Campus. He was the beloved husband of Elaine Caccavale Lettieri. He was born in Pontelatone, Italy on December 20, 1944 to the late Anthony and Carmina Caputo Lettieri. Enzo worked for Pasquale Quality Foods delivering Italian Goods and Imports up and down the Connecticut Shoreline to many area restaurants. He also delivered Produce. He was a member of the Derby Italian American Club. Enzo was the kind of man who made you feel welcome the second you met him, whether it was a handshake, smile or a hug. He was extremely generous and would do anything for a friend or stranger. He also loved and lived for his family, leaving behind four loving daughters, Antonietta (Paul) Lettieri-Parkin of Spokane, WA, Letizia (Leonardo) Morales of East Haven, Cinzia Lettieri of Seattle, WA and Elena Lettieri of Old Saybrook and four precious grandchildren, Aaron Bailey, Marc Solis, Alyssa Morales and Carmela Welch. He was predeceased by a brother, Marco Lettieri. The Lettieri family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You for the amazing care they received from the entire staff at the Guilford Smilow Hospital, especially his private nurse Sybil. Funeral will leave the EAST HAVEN MEMORIAL LONGOBARDI-BRENNAN FUNERAL HOME, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708, Thursday morning at 9:30 for a funeral mass at St. Vincent dePaul Church, at 10 am. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 4 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, you can log onto https://www.gofundme.com/383jybk & help the family with this campaign.
