David J. Clough Jr., 31 of Northford, passed away on August 19, 2022 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Yale New Haven Hospital. David was born in New Haven on September 24, 1990, beloved son of David J. and Rosa Crisanti Clough Sr. Cherished brother of Lauren Clough. Loving nephew of Lori Caruso, Wayne and Kenny Clough and Eddie (EllenAnn) Clough. Special cousin of Carter John Caruso and Rob and Richard Caruso. David was loved by his aunts, uncles and cousins. At the time of his death David was the bar manager for his family owned business BullsEye Billiards and Bar of East Haven.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven WEDNESDAY morning at 10:30. A graveside service will be held in All Saints Cemetery at 11:00. Family and friends may call TUESDAY from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sign David's guest book online at www.portofuneralhomes.net.

My memories with Dave were always full of smiles, laughs and encouragement as he was a friend I knew I could always count on as he could count on me. As a graduate student in clinical mental health, he always reached out to me and encouraged me to continue my journey and to never give up. I admired his motivation and excitement to run his own facility and admired the love he shared for his parents, sister, extended family and other protective factors in his life. I´ve known Dave since 2017 when we bonded over the gym as we both worked out at the local North Haven Planet Fitness. Unfortunately they shut down and our lives became busy in the recent years. However, whenever he did call or reach out, the conversations were as if we never missed extended periods of time as that was who David was and always will be: A genuine, kind, and loving individual who gave everything to those he cared for and loved. His business was a big piece of his life as well as his family and loved ones. He is someone I will always miss and hold dear to my heart.
