My first memory of David was getting out of class the first day of school at Saint Aedan's first grade. I didn´t like school, particularly since it marked the end of summer, but as I saw David walking down McKinley Avenue, I said if I could have friends like that, I would be OK. A few weeks later, we became friends and did things that boys do grow up together, and just remain bestest of friends. Somehow I knew at six or seven years old there was something special about this kid. David, I miss you, I hope your children are doing well. It´s the middle of the August with your birthday, approaching, and the knell of summers end in the air. It was at this point that we cramped in everything we could before the start of school, boy do I miss those days !!!

I remember your birthday was right in the middle of August, and mine was at the end of august, and we had only a few weeks of summer left to cram in all of our exploits from hacking around the vast athletic fields of Yale to fishing the Maltby lakes and all of the million other things young teenage boys with active imaginations do. Those days seem long ago yet somehow fresh in my memory, I think because when you are doing those kind of things with your best friends, they burn an indelible joy deeply into your soul, and it becomes a part of you forever. Miss you David.
I do have some news to share; Sunday my daughter committed to University of Maryland for basketball, I´m so proud of her. I wish you were around to watch some of her games, or maybe even hop in a car and take one of those road trips we used to take. David Rest in Peace

Missing you around the one year of your passing David. From the first day of second grade I knew you were a special kind of person, and we were friends from that moment on. I think of all of the things we did together thru the years , and although it saddens me that you are not here, I can’t help but crack a smile and drift off into the many adventures of childhood, adolescence and adulthood that we shared. Special people are remembered fondly, and you will always be a part of my life David. Rest In Peace ❤

David you held on to your eternally optimistic view of the world. From second grade we were friends and I learned from you and your endless curiosity and imagination. Being chauffeured around in the mayors car was a thrill, you're parents actually were very understanding and cared for you and your friends more than we realized back then. I know you are at peace, tinkering with something up there, and I would like to pass on my condolences to your family. I regaled my young daughter with bedtime stories of our youthful exploits, and we mourn your passing together. ❤ Pro Keds forever. T.T.
