Chapman, Donna
Donna Chapman, 65, of East Haven, died peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Long Island, NY to the late Jacque and Janet Smith Chapman. Donna was employed as a Supervisor in the Pathology Department at Yale New Haven Hospital – St. Raphael Campus for 45 years. She leaves behind her lifelong dearest friend Patricia Augusta of East Haven and her children, Shane Augusta of Wallingford and Shauna (David) Denecke of Meriden and will be greatly missed by their three children, Isabelle, Avery and Connor. She also leaves behind two brothers Robert (Judi) Chapman of Virginia and Matthew (Cecile) Chapman of North Haven, as well as nieces and nephews, Jessica Roseborough, and Josh, Jared and Caleb Chapman.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Bernadette Church, New Haven, Thursday morning at 10 a.m. Burial of Ashes will take place in East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Halfway Home Rescue Inc. PO box 712, North Haven, CT 06473. A cause that Donna generously supported. I am so saddened to learn of Donna's passing. I am just learning of this today. I worked with Donna for 11years. First at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, and then at YNHH. She was passionate about her job, and always put a 110% effort into her work.
