Frances "KiKi" Ogonowski
Frances "KiKi" Esposito Ogonowski of New Haven died peacefully on February 14, 2025, a month short of her 99th birthday. She was the wife of the late Frank Ogonowski, Sr. She was born in New Haven on March 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Josephine Foniulo Esposito. She was a loving mother to her sons Frank Ogonowski, Jr. and longtime family friend Yola and Robert Ogonowski and his partner Lana Lubarsky; sister of the late Ann Esposito, Marie "Chris" Iaccarino and John "Slim" Esposito. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews Charlotte, JoAnn, Carl and John, her longtime neighbors Grace Carrano and her children Philip, George and Diane and Chef John from the former Chowder Pot Restaurant.
KiKi began her career in sales working at her family's store, Eastern Packing, on Wooster Street in New Haven. Her beautiful smile and outgoing personality paved the way for her to succeed in selling jewelry, clothing and home items at various clubs, societies and homes. KiKi loved everyone and everyone loved her. Her family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers who made it possible for her to stay home and enjoy a beautiful life until she was almost 99.
Visiting hours will be Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Pl., New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at St. Bernadette Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
