Ronald P. Ogonowski, 75, of Bristol, beloved husband of Kathleen (Little) Ogonowski, passed away on Thursday (September 25, 2025) at Bristol Hospital.

Ron was born on July 28, 1950, in Bristol and was one of six children of the late John J. Ogonowski, Sr. and Charlotte (Muszynski) Ogonowski. A lifelong Bristol resident, he graduated from Bristol Eastern High School.

A CNC machinist, he worked for Stanley Works.

He enjoyed playing softball, playing golf, and going to the casino. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV and was a fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics.

In addition to his wife of 57 years in November, Ron is survived by two daughters: Rhonda Akerley and fiancé, Eric Upton of Harwinton, and Bette-Jo Newton and husband, Jason of Bristol; two brothers: Willliam Ogonowski of Bristol and John Ogonowski, Jr. of Terryville; a sister: Joyce Forcier of Cromwell; five grandchildren: Jake and Gabe Akerley, Kasara Philippas and husband, Josh, Bryce Newton and wife, Kelly, and Kaitlynn Goodkind and husband, Alex; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings: James Ogonowski and Barbara Fellin.

Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Wednesday (October 1, 2025) between 10 AM and 12 PM followed by a Service to Remember at 12 PM. Burial will be private.
