Marion E. (Cook) Simpson, 78, of Bristol, beloved wife of Henry W. Simpson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family. Marion was born on November 11, 1947, in Southington, and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Roberta (Morse) Cook. She attended Bristol High School and began a long working career. She was employed by Ametek Paragon Medical of Southington for many years where she loved to be around her coworkers and socializing with them. She was a member of Higher Ground Christian Church of Bristol where she praised her Lord and Savior Jesus. In her spare time, Marion loved to go to the casino, going out to lunch with her sisters and playing her scratch off lottery tickets.
She enjoyed time with her family, playing Dominos, camping trips and Disney world vacations. However, it was spending time with her grandchildren, that bought her the most joy in her life. Besides her husband, Henry, of 58 years, Marion is survived by her four children: Richard Simpson and his wife
Joan, Jeff Simpson, John Simpson and his wife Sarah all of Bristol and by Tracy Lennon and her husband Kevin of North Haven. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren: Steven (Alena), Cole (Karena), John (Emily), Zachary, Julia, Joseph, Kyle, Vivian, Bethann, Kevin Jr. (Becky), and
Molly and Colin who were like grandchildren. She was a great-grandmother to Willy, Teddy, Wyatt,
Connor and Correy. Marion is survived by her siblings; her brother Jeffrey
Cook (Barbara) of Bristol and by her three sisters; Mary Ellen Nolan, Barbara Ann Couture and Susan Cook all of Bristol, her brother-in-law Tom Simpson (Janice) of Terryville, sister-in-laws Lynn Cahill and Deb Sanford of Thomaston and by several nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers. She was pre-deceased by her brother Keith Cook, Sister-in-laws Karen Ferro, Shirley Jagala and brother-in-law Terry Simpson. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to
