Carmen (Dionne) Caron, 91, of Bristol, widow of Gerard Caron, died on Sunday (February 1, 2026) at home.
Carmen was born on August 10, 1934, in Notre Dame de Lourdes, New Brunswick, Canada and was a daughter of the late Eddie and Helene (Violette) Dionne.
She was raised in Notre Dame de Lourdes before immigrating to the United States, settling in Bristol in 1954.
Carmen worked briefly at Metallics Inc. and then went to work as an assembler for General Electric for 26 years from where she retired in 1994. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish devoted to St. Ann Church.
Carmen enjoyed going to the casino, playing Bingo and cards, reading, and word searches. She loved to sing and snack on her favorite candy, Caramel Rolos. More than anything, she cherished the time she spent with her family, whom she loved dearly.
Carmen is survived by five daughters: Diane Petruck of Bristol, Nancy Bouvier of Bristol, Joanne Bouvier and her husband, Richard of Bristol, Helen Faust and her husband, Joseph of Terryville and Annette Caron of Bristol; seven siblings: Rinette Dionne, Gedeon Dionne, Jacques Dionne, Berthe Landry, Reginald Dionne, Guildo Dionne and Serge Dionne; 11 grandchildren: Caron Wieringa and her husband, Jason, Chele Petruck, David Bouvier, Eric Bouvier and his wife, Melissa, Sarah Moore and her husband, Keith, Kyle and Kelly Voisine and Alandra, Georgina, Kayla and Brianna Mordo; 14 great-grandchildren: Cody Roy, Toby Wieringa, Cody, Madison, Ethan and Zachary Bouvier, Mya, Bella and Kai Moore, Madelyn and Maci Voisine, Gracie Dovi, Averie Sousa and Emorie Voisine; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by five siblings: Gabriel Dionne, Norma Charron, Marcella Desjardins, Andreanna Charron and Achille Dionne.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (February 9, 2026) at 9 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol , to St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, on Sunday between 2 and 4 PM.
