Gerald "Jerry" Redenti 71, of East Haven beloved husband of Diane Rescigno passed away on December 29, 2021 in CT. Hospice. Loving father of Gina Redenti of New Haven. Grandfather of Georgio Woodward. Brother of Marie Tomasello of Madison, Florence Rossetti Christadore, Angie Scarpellino and Linda Balzano all of New Haven. Uncle of LuAnn (Daniel) Scarpellino of East Haven. Jerry was born in New Haven on October 8, 1950 son of the late Louis and Louise Carrano Redenti. Prior to his retirement Jerry was a laborer for several area construction companies.
Family and friends are invited to A Mass of Christian Burial MONDAY morning at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in St. Bernadette Church at 11:00. Interment will be private. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to CT. Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd. Jerry and I both spent our youth in Fair Haven. We knew each other as kids. I would run in to him when he was walking down Prospect Road. Sorry to hear for his passing.
