Jesse Burrows Jr.
Jesse Burrows Jr., an 86 year old Oxford resident and husband to Barbara Benoit Burrows, passed away June 17.
He was born May 25, 1938 in Derby, son of the late Jesse Burrows Sr. and Sadie Brenia Burrows. Jesse was a Veteran of U.S. Marine Corps, and ran the 'Young Marine Program' in Ansonia. He served as a policeman in Oxford and was a member of The Oxford Fire Dept. He also worked as a plumber for Ralph Mann & Sons Co.
He leaves his sons Richard J. (Gail) and Jay J. (Christine) Burrows, as well as granddaughter Kiley May Burrows, and fiancé Brandon Fowler, all of Naugatuck, and his beloved cat Nikki.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. from The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St., Ansonia. Burial with military honors accorded follows in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Whiskers Pet Rescue, 134 Main St. S., Southbury, CT 06488.
