Joanne Hallet Obituary

Hallet, Joanne T. (Tuccio)
Joanne T. (Tuccio) Hallet, age 76, entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2018, at CT Hospice in Branford, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. Hallet. Mrs. Hallet was born in Derby on May 22, 1941, daughter of the late Jane and Michael Camillo Tuccio. A lifelong resident Ansonia, she was employed as a nurse's aide in the emergency room at Griffin Hospital and later in the Payroll Dept. for the Hamden Board of Education for twenty years, until her retirement. Joanne was a proud advocate for women's equal rights and helped establish monetary parity within Ansonia Youth Sports Programs. She enjoyed cooking, going on vacations and especially spending time with her family and friends. She was President of the former St. Sebastian Women's Auxiliary. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving sons, Keith M. Hallet (Patricia) of St. Charles, IL, Richard A. Hallet (Suzanne) of Ansonia, Edward J. Hallet (Anna) of Brookfield and Adam M. Hallet (Keirsten) of Burlington, a loving daughter, Debra Hallet of Ansonia, ten cherished grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen A. Adamo. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday March 11, 2018, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, her funeral will be held at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joanne's memory may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405 or through the funeral home.
