Joseph McLeod Obituary
Joseph H. McLeod, Sr., 82, of New Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11th, 2025, at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Judith Daggs McLeod. Joseph was born in New Haven on November 27, 1942, and was the son of the late Eugene and Wilhelmina Brandt McLeod. He worked as a mechanic since high school, co-owned and managed Lighthouse Marina in East Haven in the '70s into the '80s, and worked as a shop foreman until his retirement. Father of Jonathan E. McLeod and the late Joseph H. McLeod, Jr.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday, April 16th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Catholic parlor service will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday morning, April 17th at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. www.northhavenfuneral.com

To the McLeod.family...
There are only certain people who remain memorable from your childhood, ...Joe was one of them. We went to the old Betsy Ross School together and hung around together. I remember visiting him at home and climbing "The Rock" almost in his back yard. Joe was a great guy, always with a smile. Met him many years later when he was working in the boatyard down by lighthouse. It was like the years never happened and we had some laughs sharing memories. He´ll have some good company in the happy place where he´s at now. One of his neighbors, Charlie Bakutis left just before him to keep him company. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss.
