Joseph Nolan 94 of New Haven passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 at Apple Rehab in Old Saybrook. He was born April 27, 1931 in New Haven to James and Catherine (Clune) Nolan. Joseph is survived by his nieces, cousins, family, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary (Nolan) Welch and her husband, William and Ann (Nolan) Light and her husband, Herbert.
Joseph led a full life. As a sports enthusiast, he enjoyed games and could recall decades of statistics from memory. He was an avid fan of theatre arts, movies, and music and shared his love with others, and taught classes for retirees that were very popular. He was an employee of Winchester Repeating Arms/Olin until his retirement.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Monday August 25, 2025 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Bernadette, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven CT 06512 (Please go directly to the church). Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT.
