JOSEPH JOHN RUBY

RUBY, JOSEPH JOHN In Summerville, South Carolina, June 13, 2015, Joseph John Ruby, 93, formerly of Tamarac, FL, and West Haven, CT, entered into eternal rest peacefully with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Nicholas Ruby and Angelina Grillo Ruby. Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa Votto Ruby, loving daughter, Angela Guarneri and sisters, Mary Peak, Elizabeth Cook and Julia Loggie. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Joanne (Arthur) Iovanna of Summerville, SC, son-in-law, Carl Guarneri of West Haven, CT, cherished grandfather of Lorrie (Jose) Roman of Summerville, SC, Angela (Jason) Kirby of Birmingham, Alabama, Anthony (Jennifer) Guarneri of Ithaca, NY, Carlin Guarneri of Bridgeport, CT and great-grandpa to Lacey Leigh, Aiden Roman, Dante Guarneri and a host of nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Army during World War II and fought in the Pacific Campaign. Prior to his retirement, he was co-owner of Casanova & Ruby Construction Company in West Haven. Heaven welcomes another carpenter. He touched our lives in so many ways and his legacy of love will live on forever. Private interment will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Lauderdale, Florida.
