Julius F. DeNicholas, age 89, of West Haven passed away on December 20, 2018. For 57 years, he was the loving husband of Concetta Perrone DeNicholas. Julius was born in Hamden, son of the late Joseph and Lucy DeNicholas. He is also survived by his daughters, Lucille (Ray) Smith, Dianna Lynn (Mark) Saunders and Teresa DeNicholas, his grandchildren, Hilary (Mike) Fong, Sarah Smith, Joseph (Donna), Mark and Jacob Saunders, his siblings Arthur DeNicholas, Lucille Bencivengo, Mary (Larry) Ciolino and Joseph (Bunny) DeNicholas and many nieces and nephews. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, Julius was the owner and operator of Electra-Mech Appliance Repair.
The hours for visitation will be WEDNESDAY from 4-7 p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St Lawrence Church at 10 a.m. Entombment, with military honors, will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
