I had the pleasure hiring and working with Katrina up at the Front Gate with the Admissions staff. Katrina had such a positive personality and the ambition and drive to continue to learn and want to be involved in as much as possible. Her smile and good nature was infectious and her laid back attitude put everyone at ease.
Truly a wonderful soul that will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you throughout this terrible loss.

Dear Mary and Bill,

Deepest sympathy on the passing of Katrina. She touched many people in a positive way. When we moved from the neighborhood and Katrina came over to my tag sale, her mission was to buy some Halloween decorations. It was a win/win deal she got all the Halloween decorations and I got the pleasure of seeing a happy, smiling, appreciative youngster; a tribute to her parents. She led a meaningful life, especially to those she touched and the innocent animals to which she showed compassion, a special quality.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To Katrina's parents: I work at the Seneca Park Zoo. In the summer months, I present animals to members when they enter the zoo. Prior to the gates opening, I would always bring the animal into the membership booth, to show the ladies working there. I had the pleasure of working with your daughter in this regard. Her love of animals, and of life in general, was very evident. She will be missed terribly. I can only offer you my prayers and condolences. I am very sorry for your loss.

Dear Mary and family, I can't express how sad I was to hear of Katrina's death and pray for your consolation. I realize that there is great pain for you and nothing can replace your daughter. I remember Katrina as a spunky and outgoing happy youth who enjoyed church. She was brave and self sufficient and was a fine acolyte. May the Words of Life giving faith keep you strong and may the Lord come to you with his peace and hope for life eternal.

As Katrina's teacher at Wilbur Cross, I remember Katrina very well: she was kind and smart but also strong and determined in her goals and aspirations, the kind of student you wish you had more of. As a parent of children close in age to hers I can only imagine your grief. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time.

Dear Mary,
I want to offer my condolences to you and your family for your loss. I don't think there is anything harder than losing a child. I pray that you find the strength and endurance to press forward in the days ahead and find comfort in the memories of the good times with Katrina.

Mary & Bill,

I remember meeting Katrina first at work. She was 8 years old and came in to the Center on a day she didn't have school. She spent her time that day coloring at the table in the office. Other times she visited we had her do little odd jobs to keep her busy - she was always a good sport. You welcomed me into your family, as I was just starting out on my own, and I enjoyed attending Katrina's soccer games, swim meets and even a school function, where I was mistaken for her mom... Halloween in the Cove, and trips through the Festival of Lights with hot cocoa. Before I had a family of my own, the three of you showed me how to do it right - with love and enthusiasm. I am so sorry for your loss.

With love,

Dear Mary and Bill,

I am so truly crushed to hear about Katrina's passing. I had the gift of being her math teacher for two years. She was simply a wonderful, unique person, and I felt a special bond with her because we both had similar interests in mathematics and music. Her spirit is unforgettable.

I was Katrina's guidance counselor at Wilbur Cross High School. She was a vibrant, intelligent and compassionate young lady and was a regular fixture in my office. I have very fond memories of our interactions. She was simply remarkable. Mere words can not adequately express how deeply saddened I am by this news... as I am certain we all are. My sincerest sympathies to her family family and friends. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time and I am here should you need anything. May she rest in peace.

Katrina welcomed me to both the Wilbur Cross band and soccer team with snark, sass, and humor. In band, she was my constant companion in music and mischief. At soccer practices, I always knew I could look to her for a laugh (especially if I had just fallen). We fell out of touch once she graduated, but I've never forgotten her and I never will.

To the Regan family:

I am so sorry to hear about Katrina's passing. I was a student with her at Wilbur Cross for four memorable years and can't begin to explain how sad this makes me. Unfortunately, I now work and live out of state and can't make the memorial service.

However, Katrina's laugh was extremely infectious and will always be the main something to make me smile in digesting this tragedy. The thoughts of time spent in hallways and classrooms will always be cherished by those of us fortunate enough to make those memories with her.

Love, peace & sympathy,
Claire Loxsom

I am so sorry and I feel and know your pain, I will remember your daughter as I saw her here in Wells. Always smiling and friendly like her Mom and Dad. She was and always will be a beautiful girl. Preserve every happy moment that you shared, hold them close to your heart and they will help you . She will be in your heart forever. You will feel her presence everyday,. Know that she loved you and you loved her. The loss of a child is the hardest life experience you will ever have, but with memories, friends that understand, and family support, love, faith remembering all the great love she brought to your life will help you. We are sending our prayers and love at this most difficult time in your life. I pray god will heal your broken hearts and guide you everyday and help you heal.
