KOWALSKI, LORRAINE M. (LIPKA) Lorraine M. (Lipka) Kowalski, age 83, of Hamden, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday May 24, 2016. Born on April 11, 1933 in New Haven, the daughter of the late John and Jessie Kowalski Lipka. The beloved wife for 51 years to the late Leon Kowalski. Cherished mother of Nancy (Robert) Toland of Hamden, David (Lonna) Kowalski of NJ, and Peter Kowalski of RI. The loving grandmother of Terry (Kate) Toland of VA, and Lindsay Toland (Dan Crum) of Bridgeport. Also leaves behind one brother John (Eva) Lipka of Wallingford. Predeceased by one sister Jessie Ochenkowski. Lorraine was a dental hygienist for over 50 years working in the greater Hamden Area. Her funeral procession will leave Hamden Memorial, 1300 Dixwell Ave., on Saturday at 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rita Church at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in the Kowalski family plot at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. CALLING HOURS at Hamden Memorial Friday evening from 5-7pm. Memorial contributions may be made to CT.
