SAMBROOK, MADELYN PISANI ‘MIDGE’ Madelyn Pisani “Midge” Sambrook, 93, of New Bern, NC., formerly of New Rd., Hamden, died June 25, 2014, in North Carolina. Beloved wife of the late Ronald G. Sambrook Sr. Loving mother of Ronald G. Sambrook II and wife Patricia of Naugatuck and Karen Sambrook Sullivan and husband John of New Bern, NC. Cherished grandmother of Nicole Sambrook. Sister of Robert Pisani of Hamden and the late Salvatore Pisani, Eugene Pisani, Raffealla Ferraro and Claire Lemay. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born April 3,1921 in New Haven, a daughter of the late Matteo and Carmella Decerbo Pisani, she had worked at the former Eastern Press Printers for many years and was awarded the rank of Master Bindry woman. Madelyn was a devoted Roman Catholic as well as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother She was an avid NY Yankees and NY Knick fan, and playing BINGO with her friends was her favorite pastime. In her younger years, she won many trophys in both singles and doubles Duck Pin Bowling tournaments along with her husband Ronald. She loved helping people and gave to multiple charities over the years. Her greatest joy was her family . Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Monday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery. Friends may call Monday morning from 8:30 - 9:30. www.siskbrothers.com
