Michael Cacace Obituary

CACACE, MICHAEL T. Michael T. Cacace 34, of Prospect, born January 23, 1978 in New Haven, passed away on February 27, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. In his short but fulfilling life, Michael has touched the hearts of many and leaves behind countless memories and an unsurpassed legacy. Born and raised in Hamden, Michael was a devoted, strong and generous man. In his childhood, he was privileged to travel the world, doing what he loved; playing hockey. He was a 1996 graduate of Hamden High School and attended college at Central Connecticut State University. A respected friend, colleague and employee of the global healthcare products leader Covidien, he was employed as an Electrical Control Technician and contributed to several innovative projects responsible for improving the lives of patients worldwide. Michael will be best remembered as a loving husband, loyal friend, and extraordinary father. An avid outdoorsman and legendary fisherman, Michael is survived by his wife and self-proclaimed "best catch", Rachael (Acabbo) Cacace. He is the loving father of a beautiful brunette daughter, Morgan Deanne and was the remarkable son of Thomas and Christine (Falcigno) Cacace Jr. of Hamden and the ideal son-in-law of Ralph and Deanne Acabbo of Hamden. Michael will also be missed by his adoring sister Christa (Nick) Saraceni of Wallingford and their daughter Juliana Marie as well as his beloved sister-in-law Heather (Mark) Goduti of Prospect and their son Connor. He is survived by his paternal grandparents Thomas and Catherine Cacace Sr. of North Haven and maternal grandmother Carolyn Falcigno of Edgewater, FL. He is reunited with his late grandfather Joseph Falcigno. Relatives and friends are invited to A Mass of Christian Burial SATURDAY morning in St. Anthony's Church, 4 Union City Rd., Prospect, Ct at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery in Hamden. To celebrate his life, relatives and friends may call FRIDAY from 5pm to 8pm. Memorial contributions may be made to honor Michael's treasured daughter, c/o the Morgan D.
