Nancy Falsey Obituary

Nancy Mulroy Falsey
Nancy Mulroy Falsey passed away on Saturday, July 24th at the Whitney Rehabilitation Center in Hamden, following a six month long courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 86. Nancy was born on September 11, 1934 in the City of New York to the late James Mulroy and Mary Jane Cribbin Mulroy. She moved from the Bronx at a young age to New Haven where she resided until recent years. Nancy graduated from St. Francis School, attended Fair Haven Junior High School and graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in 1952. She worked for many years at the United Illuminating Company until her marriage to Paul Falsey in 1966. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church and was a daily communicant there for many years. Although she left the Bronx as a young child, she remained an avid NY Yankees fan and loved trips to New York City. Nancy also enjoyed many happy summers with her family and friends in Branford and was a long time member of the Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Paul J. Falsey and infant twin granddaughters. She is survived by her daughters Margaret Brillante (John) of Wallingford, Eileen Jenetopulos (Theo) of Jamestown, RI, Frances Falsey of Jamestown, RI, Ann Lawlor (Kevin) of North Haven and Ellen Falsey of North Haven. Nancy is also survived by her sisters Mary Mulroy and Marguerite Mulroy Donohue. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law, William T. Donohue and beloved nephew, William T. Donohue, Jr. She is also survived by her nephews, James, Brian and Kevin Donohue and niece, Eileen Donohue Kenney. Nancy's most cherished role in life was that of beloved grandmother to Caroline Ann Lawlor and Kevin Falsey Lawlor both of North Haven. She loved them dearly. Nancy, affectionately called "Cluckie" by Caroline and Kevin, was a daily presence in their lives and left them with countless happy memories of her time shared with each of them and her grand-dog, Finn. She will be dearly missed. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Hillhouse Avenue, New Haven. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning prior to the funeral from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Avenue, Hamden or go directly to St. Mary's Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the William T.
