Nicholas T. Avallone 97, of East Haven passed away on September 6, 2021 at his home. Loving father of Thomas (Lori) Avallone of Cumberland, RI and Christopher (Angelina) Avallone of New Haven. Grandfather of Jeffrey and Bridget Avallone. Great grandfather of Amelia Avallone – Gudaitis. Brother of the late Carmel Carrano and Mary and Anthony Avallone. Nick was born in New Haven on July 10, 1924 son of the late Vincenzo and Concetta Avallone. Companion of Amy Agranov of East Haven. Prior to his retirement Nick was a machinist for Circuitwise Manufacturing. Nick served his country faithfully in the Army during WW II. Nick was a selfless man who dedicated his life to helping family and friends. He will be missed by all those who had the privilege to know him.
Family and friends are invited to go DIRECTLY to St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church to celebrate A Mass of Christian Burial TUESDAY morning September 14, 2021 at 11:00. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN. 38105. Sign Nick's guest book online at www.portofuneralhomes.net.
