He was born May 27, 1938 in New Haven to Nicholas and Josephine (DePoto) Vegliante. Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Michaelyn (Szlosek) Vegliante and children; Nicholas P. Vegliante (Sara) of Preston, Sherri Guidone (Jay) of MA and Tina Vegliante of Derby. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Nicholas M. After being a basketball player and golfer in high school, he became an avid bowler, winning a state amateur championship in 1962. He loved watching and discussing the Red Sox and spending time with his family and pets. A member of the Elks for nearly 40 years, Nick loved to socialize, most of all, alongside his wife.
