Robert Nacca Obituary

Nacca, Robert
Robert Nacca 64 of Wallingford and Meriden passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 4, 2018. He was born June 30, 1953 in New Haven to Paul and Alice (Langlois) Nacca. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Janice (Page) Nacca and three children, Mandy Nacca (Michael Faughnan) of East Haven, Sarah Nacca of GA and Dominic Nacca of Meriden along with two grandchildren, Jake and Cru Faughnan. Bob is also survived by six siblings, Diane Conforte (widow of Jimmy) of West Haven, John Nacca (Joan) of East Haven, Paul Nacca of Meriden, Marie Urquhart of Meriden, Christine Davis (Dave) of Maryland, Nino Pedini (Cathy) of North Branford and numerous nieces/nephews and friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dominic Nacca.
Bob, also known to many who loved him as Uncle Bobby, touched the lives of all that knew him. He was a loyal friend and support system to everyone he crossed paths with. He impacted and helped countless lives and most defiantly even saved a few. Bob was a second father and brother to those that knew him, helping all that needed him no matter what. Bob spent many years on the road as a truck driver. He was an avid life-long fan of the New England Patriots and New York Yankees. For over five years he was involved in ensuring children of the New Haven area had a toy for Christmas he was truly a real life Santa volunteering over hundreds of hours at Toys for Tots. He also spent many hours volunteering for The Marine Cadets of America. Bob volunteered his time as well at the Wallingford Homeless shelter befriending and caring for many that he has met. He also volunteered his time with the U.S. Navy Sea Cadets and was an active member and blessed to have an extended family at the Ward St., Church of Christ.
The family would like to thank everybody that has cared for him at Yale Haven Hospital and Smilow Cancer Center especially Dr. Ahmad who not only was his doctor but also became a close friend.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
