CRAFT, SHERRY A. Sherry A Craft, 64, of Hamden, passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2015 from injuries sustained in a fall at home. Sherry was born on July 27, 1951 in New Haven. She was the daughter of Abbott A and Shirley K Rosen. She leaves behind, her devoted husband Richard Craft of Hamden, her son, Jason Craft and his wife Breanna of Meriden. She is survived by her sisters, Marcy Cave and her husband Bill and Nancy Huber and her husband Jack of Wallingford. She also leaves sisters-in-law Lisa Zoba of Shelton and Jennifer Smith and her husband Kevin of Seymour. She was a loving aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews, Sarah and Jeff Burns, Seth, Evan and Jennifer Huber, Scott Zoba, Andrew and Erin Smith. Sherry was a lover of life and tryer of many things. She graduated from Lasell Junior College with an Associates in Interior Design and later from Ona Wilcox School of Nursing with an Associates in Nursing. She worked for 30 years in a busy OBGYN practice and most recently as Intensive Care Manager for Community Health Network. This desire to explore new things was not just seen in her career path, but also in the many hobbies that she pursued throughout her life; ice skating, ball room disco dancing where she met the love of her life, Dick, tap dancing, and most recently as a prominent fixture in the Pantastic Steel Orchestra. She lived her life for her family and friends. Her aunts, uncles and cousins were an integral part of what shaped her as a person. And she carried this sense of community into each friendship she formed. Above all, Sherry was proud of being a mom to Jason and later a mom to her daughter-in-law, Breanna. With the impending birth of her first granddaughter, Alivia, Sherry was full of love and happiness. A memorial service will take place this Friday at 10:00 o’clock at the Robert E. Shure Funeral Home, 543 George Street, New Haven, CT. Family will be receiving relatives and friends from 9:00 until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Dear Dick, Jason, Breanna and the entire extended family. I am so saddened to hear of Sherry's tragic accident and her passing. I was away and just heard today. I knew Sherry for 25 years as owner of Sandrea Day Spa. She and I shared many mother stories and New Haven memories. I will always remember her beautiful face, gentle manor and zest.

Rick and family. We have known the Crafts for many, many years and have always loved them. When my dad got sick, Sherry came to the house regularly to help him. She took wonderful care of him and all of us really loved her. I have no words for your loss except that we are so very sorry.
