Thomas Charron Obituary

CHARRON, THOMAS A. Thomas A. Charron, 85, husband of Vera Barcsansky Charron of Hamden and Oquossoc, ME passed away November 22, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born in Springfield, VT May 30, 1926 a son of the late Theodore Charron and Pauline Moran and was employed with the Yale University Police Dept. prior to retirement. He proudly served in the US Merchant Marine Corps. during WW II and in the US Marines from 1947-1949. After retirement, Thomas spent summers at his home on Mooselookmeguntic Lake in Oquossoc, Maine with his beloved wife. There he was active in the Mooselookmeguntic Improvement Assoc., the Rangeley Lake Heritage Trust, and Barker Loop Inc. In addition to his wife he is survived by two children, Ronald F. Rice, Dawn Whelan, four grandchildren, Sean Riley, Tracy Riley, Adrienne Rice, Thomas Rice, and a sister Betty Ann Ciaccia. He was predeceased by daughters Tracy Charron, Cindy Riley, and a sister Wanda Bernard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Ave., Hamden Saturday morning November 26, at 9 a.m. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN. Vera, I am sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved. My deepest SYMPATHIES.
Tracy and Sean, you certainly know better than anyone just how much "Gramps " was proud of you both. You pocess the same character traits as he; strong, sound minds accepting hearts, and courageous fortitude. He lives on through the both of you. May you feel his PEACE, forever. Love you.
