Thomas Dwyer Obituary
January 31, 1959 - March 10. 2025
Thomas E. Dwyer, 66, of Wallingford, passed away March 10, 2025 at Connecticut Hospice.
Tom was born in Meriden on January 31, 1959, a son of the late John and Shirley (Nichols) Dwyer.
Tom's remarkable 38-year tenure as an Engineer at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) was truly inspiring, with his global experiences in Korea, Japan, and Saudi Arabia leaving lasting memories with his family and friends. he was a member of the on the ASME Boiler Inspectors Board, Tom was a proud alumnus of Lyman Hall High School (1977) and The Mass Maritime Academy (1981), Tom's unwavering dedication earned him a commission in the United States Navy Reserves. Tom's legacy lives on through his brothers Dennis J. Dwyer, Joseph G. Dwyer and his wife Kate, and Patrick J. Dwyer and his wife Kathy. Though he was predeceased by his wife Maggie (Richey) Dwyer, his brother William P. Dwyer and sister Kathleen A. Dwyer, Tom's many stories and memory will continue to uplift his nephews George, Joseph, Scott, and Thomas, and nieces Carol, Victoria, Patrica, and Christina. Victoria, in particular, shared an unbreakable bond with Tom, selflessly caring for him over the past six years. Tom also leaves behind 17 grand nieces and nephews.
Tom's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Interment in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford will be private.

I am lucky to have many memories of the Lyman Hall years with Tommy (Dewey) LH football, classes, activities, to many to list. I´m so sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers to his family in this sorrowful time. May God comfort you all. Class of `77 Bill Hannon
