Thomas Halligan Obituary

Thomas M. Halligan, 68, of West Haven, entered into rest on May 11, 2025, with his family by his side. Along with his devoted wife, Marilyn Capelli Halligan, Tom is survived by his beloved daughters Marissa J. (Kirsten Harlow) Halligan and Ashley S. (Brian) Jackson; and grandson Keegan Jack Jackson, who brought him unlimited joy and happiness. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother James D. Halligan III.
The hours for visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home. On Thursday morning the procession will leave the funeral home at 9:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John XXIII parish at St. John Vianney Church at 9:30. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. My deepest sympathy to all. Tom was great always laughing and happy , he loved his wife and his daughters and most of all his grandson.
We remembers the good times and laugh at Libby´s drinking coffee it was a pleasure knowing him. May he rest in peace god really got an angel.

We were alter boys together at Saint Lawrence's Church. We were also neighbors of sorts. He was always a peaceful soul at that time. May God rest his soul.

Tom was such a fun,loving,happy guy.My fondest memory will be the girls verses parents soccer games as he sent all us mothers out on the field and I asked him what about you and of course he said I´ll be the cheer team I send my condolences to his family especially his Prince KeeganRest in Peace Tom.

I worked for several years with Tom at the VA Hospital where he skillfully worked and supervised at the hospital switchboard. He was so good at his craft. There was no one more kind and thoughtful at his job. Tom always conveyed a warm, friendly, peaceful and gentle spirit that made anyone who talked to him feel welcomed and appreciated. What a great guy!! My sincerest sympathy to his entire family.

Dear Marilyn and girls: Joe and I are so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. We knew him since he was a child and have memories of watching him at the KofC. He loved his family so much and when he spoke of all of you his face just lite up. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.
